In a less annoying toot, does anyone have any non-English language pop they'd recommend me? Can be new or old. Pop can mean whatever you want.
Truly all suggestions welcome.
@coralin thanks! I went through a MC Solar phase a few years back! I'll check the other stuff!
@TimeSnow what about "Videli noci" by Zdob si Zdub from Moldova
@saper thank you I'll check it out straight away!
@saper that's kinda like the Moldovan Mighty Mighty Bosstones!
Interesting I'll explore more... Anything with female vocals?
@TimeSnow
want something from the extreme autotune drawer? Try Mordi - Plastic pop remix, somewhere on youtube
@saper that's nice! Will also Google more of that stuff! Thanks
Irn-Bru, Tizer and Lucozade @TimeSnow
@viperdudeuk boom boom!
I do like lucozade though!
@TimeSnow I recommend De dijk, which is a band from the Netherlands (singer Huub van der Lubbe sings in Dutch). Two ways to see if this is to your taste: the english translation route, or go native. I'll give you both. 1 They had an album (Hold on tight) with Solomon Burke, where he sang some of their greatest hits with them translated in English. 2 They had so many hits on so many albums, easiest start is to just try googling for 'De dijk het beste van' (=the best of). Hope you enjoy!
@Leonore5506 thanks! I'd probably prefer the non-English versions!
@TimeSnow i sing this out loud in the car! And some song text phrases are so famous, if you sing them of say them, people will join in.
@Leonore5506 ha! I must give this a proper listen... :)
@TimeSnow Some other suggestions (if you are not already swamped ;p ) Different styles, all Dutch pop. I picked each a famous song to start:
Lange Frans & Baas B - Het land van (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yayMuZxlttc)
Bløf - Harder dan ik hebben kan
Van Dik Hout - Stil in mij (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAF67QRje_A)
Acda en de munnik - Niet of nooit geweest
Stef Bos - Papa
Gers Pardoel - Bagagedrager (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZRw9NiVUuM)
@Leonore5506 ooh thanks!!
@TimeSnow MC Solaar was my jam in high school. I am a fan of "La Vie Est Belle" and "Inch'Allah".
