@paulfree14 that's a stretch, it might have been specifically legal in some places but ever since the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen there's a serious framework for this all and international laws to punish people abusing their power on this scale

@Xowap ...we have goverments investing in companies doing landgrapping and then gain profit out of resources in other countries, while IWF and such continues to pressure gov. to privatize more and more of their public goods.
That just a different form of colonization.
If those ppl threated to leave their lands then also gain economic presure and need to work for the company that just kicked them out, that's just a new form of slavery.
