Imagine this scenario. I show up at work after staying up all night on Mastodon. Coworker asks why I look so tired. My response: I was up all night tooting. Coworker's face falls, they sidle away.
What I am saying is we have awesome jargon like "federated timeline", why do individual messages have to be referred to by the same word my grandfather used to discuss breaking wind?

@superdrew Haha. Yeah, there's not a good way to get a feel for an instance before joining.
Same. The good thing is that it doesn't really seem to be GoT-themed in any way.
